APC Stakeholders Excluded from Presidential Campaign List

A source within the All Progressives Congress (APC) disclosed that significant party stakeholders were excluded from the drafting of the Presidential Campaign Council (PPC) list. This information emerged after President Bola Tinubu's closed-door meeting with governors from the APC, known as the Progressives Governors’ Forum, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting, held on Thursday, was part of ongoing consultations aimed at addressing the backlash over the PPC list released on August 23, 2026. Critics have raised concerns regarding the inclusion of certain party chieftains facing corruption charges.

According to sources, the list was created without input from the party, primarily by the President’s Special Adviser on Political Matters and a few individuals within the Presidency. The initial list has since been deleted from the APC's social media handle, with plans for a revised list to be shared following the President's approval of the meeting's discussions.
