Atiku Abubakar Attends Wedding in Morocco, Dismisses Speculation

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar traveled to Marrakech, Morocco, to attend the wedding of Cherina Muna Okei Ezeib on Saturday. Atiku dismissed speculation regarding political undertones of his visit, asserting it was purely personal.

His media aide, Phrank Shaibu, issued a statement clarifying that the trip was based on Atiku's long-standing personal relationship with the groom's family. The wedding ceremony attracted dignitaries from various parts of Africa, including the bride's father, Lassina Zerbo, a former Prime Minister of Burkina Faso.

Atiku described marriage as a sacred institution founded on love, sacrifice, patience, and mutual respect, offering prayers for peace and happiness for the couple. This clarification comes amid heightened political interest as movements engage political figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
