Abure Continues Criticism of Obi and Otti Amid Crisis

Julius Abure, the Labour Party chairman, announced on a political program that he will persist in criticizing former presidential candidate Peter Obi and Abia State Governor Alex Otti due to their involvement in the party's leadership crisis. Abure accused Obi and Otti of disrupting the peace that previously existed within the Labour Party.

He stated that the crisis began when party leaders allegedly established an illegitimate caretaker committee in Umuahia, which has become a significant challenge to the party's leadership. Abure emphasized that discussions about the Labour Party's crisis are necessary and will continue until a resolution is reached.

He described Obi and Otti's actions as destabilizing and claimed that the party could run smoothly without major disagreements. Abure also mentioned that Obi's previous affiliation with the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) contributed to internal crises, asserting that similar challenges were created within the NDC as well.
