Kebbi Governor Nasir Idris Backs Tinubu for 2027 Election

The Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to Kebbi State Governor, Abdullahi Idris, Sadaukin Zuru, defended Governor Nasir Idris’ support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027. Zuru stated that the governor has a moral and political responsibility to mobilize support for Tinubu, emphasizing that Kebbi State has significantly benefited from its alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government.

He noted that the people of Kebbi elected Governor Idris under the APC in the 2023 governorship election, which he described as a vote of confidence in the governor's background and commitment to development. Zuru highlighted that President Tinubu has authorized Governor Idris to recommend qualified Kebbi indigenes for federal appointments, reversing previous issues with federal board memberships.

He also mentioned the federal government's support in tackling insecurity and agricultural interventions that have aided Kebbi's farming efforts. Zuru called for greater mobilization among APC members in Kebbi ahead of the 2027 elections.
