Ajoke Taiwo Reveals Why She Quit Acting After Marriage

Ajoke Taiwo, the first wife of the late veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, shared insights about their marriage and her acting career following his death. In a viral video, she explained that she was an actress before Ogogo joined their acting group.

After their marriage, Ogogo requested that she leave acting to concentrate on raising their children. Ajoke characterized Ogogo as a caring and loving husband, expressing that his death has created a profound void in her life, stating, “This is a wound that can never heal.” She began her acting career prior to Ogogo's involvement in their group and transitioned to hairdressing after leaving the movie industry.

Ogogo passed away after battling cancer and was buried according to Islamic rites in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State.
