Otti Explains Non-Interference with Security Agencies

On Wednesday, Abia State Governor Alex Otti addressed the non-interference of his administration with security agencies during a send-off ceremony in Umuahia for outgoing service commanders recently transferred. Otti stated that this policy reflects his commitment to transparency, asserting, “The reason we don’t interfere is that we have nothing to hide.” He expressed gratitude to the outgoing commanders, including Brig Gen H.M.

Bello, AIG Danladi Isa, Ibrahim Sarki, Akinsola Aderemi, and Chigbu Odoemenam, for their hard work and cooperation in securing the state. Otti noted that security is a challenging responsibility and acknowledged the impressive results of their collaboration.

He assured the commanders that their relationships with the state would remain cordial and offered employment opportunities for those wishing to return. Secretary to the State Government, Emmanuel Meribole, highlighted the ceremony's purpose to honor the commanders for their contributions to the peaceful security architecture in Abia.
