Onoh Critiques Wike's Political Maneuvers Against APC

Denge Josef Onoh, former South-East spokesman for President Bola Tinubu’s 2023 campaign, addressed the ongoing conflict between Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Onoh criticized Wike's comments regarding the electoral performance of South-East governors in the 2023 presidential election, attributing the region's voting patterns to the popularity of former Anambra State governor Peter Obi.

He emphasized that the political dynamics in Abuja are distinct from those in Rivers State. Onoh noted that Wike's political activities have caused friction with APC governors, who are concerned that Wike's influence over political structures associated with the PDP could lead to divisions within the ruling party.

He also criticized Wike's "Rainbow Coalition," suggesting it may be a strategy for future political ambitions. Onoh urged President Tinubu to consider the implications of any political arrangements that could undermine APC candidates at the state level.
