Wike Approves Promotion for 3,592 FCT Civil Servants

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, approved the promotion of 3,592 civil servants as part of the activities marking the third anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. This approval followed the successful conclusion of the 2025 promotion exercise conducted by the FCT Civil Service Commission.

Emeka Ezeh, Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, announced that senior officers took their promotion examinations from July 1 to 3, while junior staff participated on July 10. Ezeh praised Wike for his support, which facilitated the smooth execution of the promotion process.

He emphasized that the administration prioritizes timely promotions to enhance staff welfare alongside ongoing infrastructural development in the Federal Capital Territory. Ezeh also directed the commission to commence the 2026 promotion exercise immediately, ensuring eligible officers are promoted without delays.

He commended civil servants for their professionalism during the promotion exercise and encouraged prospective candidates for the 2026 exercise to prepare early.
