Sambo Urges Tinubu to Resolve Tensions Between Wike and Uzodimma

Sumner Sambo, Director and Politics Editor at Arise News, commented on the political pressures faced by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who is the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, as well as a senatorial candidate for the 2027 election. Sambo's remarks came after Uzodimma distanced the Progressive Governors Forum from the Rainbow Coalition led by Minister Nyesom Wike in Rivers State.

Wike responded by asserting that the Rainbow Coalition had no ties to the APC and challenged Uzodimma to address local issues rather than politicizing the President's re-election. Sambo suggested that the situation appears to be escalating into a personal conflict between Wike and Uzodimma, urging President Bola Tinubu to intervene.

He noted that the ongoing tensions reflect on Tinubu's leadership capabilities, as he has not managed to bring the two leaders together.
