Wike Critiques David Mark's Infrastructure Record

On Thursday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), criticized former Senate President David Mark for his record on infrastructure, particularly road construction. Wike contended that the achievements of President Bola Tinubu's administration in road infrastructure within three years have surpassed those accomplished during Mark's eight-year leadership.

He specifically mentioned the condition of the Akwanga-Makurdi road, which remains deplorable despite being awarded during Mark's tenure. Wike stated that poor infrastructure affects people's ability to access essential services such as hospitals and schools.

He emphasized that roads are the bedrock of societal development. In response to recent criticisms from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which Mark chairs, Wike defended the current administration's progress in infrastructure development.
