Wike Critiques David Mark on FCT Infrastructure Claims

Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, criticized former Senate President David Mark in response to claims made by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) regarding road infrastructure projects in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Wike stated that the achievements in road infrastructure under President Bola Tinubu's administration within three years have surpassed those accomplished during Mark's eight-year tenure.

He highlighted the deplorable condition of the Akwanga-Makurdi road, which remains unaddressed despite being awarded during Mark's leadership. Wike pointed out that Mark, who is now the chairman of a faction of the ADC, relied on helicopter travel instead of addressing road issues that affect ordinary citizens.

He emphasized that the Tinubu administration is committed to completing projects for the benefit of the people, citing the commissioning of the Jahi-Gwarimpa interchange as a significant milestone. Wike also mentioned ongoing investments in water infrastructure across satellite towns, challenging critics to compare these efforts with previous administrations.
