Woman Accuses Lagos Hospital of Withholding Twin After Birth

Bless Isioma David, a 28-year-old woman, accused Tip Top Solution Hospital in Ikotun, Lagos State, of withholding her second twin after delivery, leading to a chaotic scene captured in a viral video. The footage shows her demanding the whereabouts of the missing baby, with individuals in the background calling for the arrest of hospital staff over alleged baby trafficking.

An obstetric scan report indicated a twin pregnancy, showing two fetuses with distinct genders. Hospital director Sundai Babajid dismissed the claims, asserting that the scan results were inaccurate and that the woman was not asleep during the delivery.

He stated that the scan was conducted at an early stage, which could lead to errors, and urged the family to verify the scan elsewhere. The Lagos State police, represented by spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed they are investigating the situation and urged the public to remain calm as they work to resolve the matter.
