Police Investigate Alleged Baby Theft in Lagos Hospital

The Lagos State Police Command has initiated an investigation into allegations of baby theft at Tip Top Solution Hospital in the Ikotun area, following a viral video featuring Bless Isioma David. In the video, David accuses the hospital staff of withholding her second twin after a delivery.

The police spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed the investigation and urged the public to remain calm. The hospital's medical director, Sundai Babajid, dismissed the claims, asserting that the allegations stem from a misunderstanding regarding a scanning error.

He stated that the obstetric scan report indicated the presence of two fetuses, but the delivery process was miscommunicated. Babajid emphasized that the scan was conducted at an early stage, which could have led to confusion.

The incident has sparked significant public tension, with calls for accountability from the hospital staff involved.
