WOMEN’S RIGHTS: NOT IMMUNITY TO ACCOUNTABILITY

The global push for gender equality in the past decade has seen significant progress for women in politics, education, and business leadership. While women today enjoy rights and freedoms past generations could only dream of, there is a growing need to address the misconception that these rights grant immunity from accountability.

True empowerment comes with responsibility, and rights must be exercised with decorum and respect to avoid harmful consequences. Women must uphold values of respect, humility, and empathy to strengthen the case for gender equality.

Misconduct and unruly behavior not only undermine the progress made by women but also reinforce harmful stereotypes. It is essential for women to lead by example, demand fairness, and show the world that equality and accountability go hand in hand.
