Dangote Warns of Work-from-Home Return Amid Crisis

Aliko Dangote, Africa's richest man, warned that the current crisis in the Middle East might force countries, including Nigeria, to revert to work-from-home arrangements similar to those during the COVID-19 pandemic. He highlighted the economic repercussions of rising oil prices and the uncertainty surrounding energy sources, which are particularly affecting ordinary Africans and small business owners.

Dangote called for prayer and international intervention to resolve the conflict impacting fuel prices. He noted that if the situation does not improve, he may advise employees to work from home again.

Additionally, during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's recent state visit to the United Kingdom, Dangote praised the signing of a $746 million infrastructure agreement, describing it as significant and indicative of confidence in Nigeria. He mentioned that Nigerian investors could access UK export finance agency resources, which remain largely untapped.
