Hotel worker dies in Abuja after fight with tiler

Joseph Terdoo, a hotel worker, died after an alleged physical confrontation with tiler Samuel Net at a hotel in the Utako District of Abuja. The incident occurred on October 20, 2026, when the FCT Police Command received a distress report around 5am regarding suspicious noise on the third floor of the hotel.

Officers from the Utako Divisional Police Headquarters responded and found Terdoo unconscious on the floor of Room 301 with multiple marks of violence. Net was also found with signs of violence on his body.

Terdoo was rushed to Wuse District Hospital but was confirmed dead on arrival. Investigations revealed that a disagreement between the two men escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Net pushed Terdoo, causing him to fall and hit his head on a wooden object.

The police are continuing their investigation into the incident. FCT Commissioner of Police Ahmed Sanusi urged residents to avoid violence and seek peaceful resolutions to disputes.
