Obafemi Triumphs Over Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam

Nigerian professional wrestler Obafemi achieved a major milestone by defeating former UFC and WWE champion Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match at WWE SummerSlam on Saturday night. The event took place at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

This match marked Obafemi's first-ever appearance in a Hell in a Cell contest. He faced significant challenges, including surviving multiple German suplexes and a tombstone onto exposed wooden boards.

Obafemi countered Lesnar's attacks with two chokeslams and ultimately secured victory after knocking a steel chair from Lesnar's grip and delivering his signature move, the Fall From Grace. Following the match, Lesnar embraced Obafemi and publicly endorsed him, stating that he is the past and Obafemi is the future of WWE.

Obafemi expressed surprise at the endorsement, acknowledging the mutual respect between them. This victory adds to Obafemi's impressive year, having previously defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 in April and winning the 2026 King of the Ring tournament in June.
