Yari Appointed DG for APC 2027 Presidential Campaign

Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has accepted the role of Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election. He represents Zamfara West in the Senate and expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and the APC leadership for the trust placed in him.

The announcement was made in a statement from the Presidency, signed by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has been appointed as Secretary of the council, while President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima will serve as Chairman and Vice-Chairman I, respectively.

Yari described the campaign as a vital conversation with the Nigerian people, pledging to conduct it with discipline and respect. He called for unity among Nigerians and emphasized the APC's commitment to earning public confidence through its record.

Yari stated that campaign activities would commence immediately, aiming for victory in January 2027.
