Senator Adeola Empowers 2,557 Ogun Farmers with Grants

Senator Solomon Adeola, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 general election and representative of Ogun West in the National Assembly, launched an empowerment initiative in Ilaro, Ogun State, benefiting 2,557 farmers. The program aims to address low productivity and high farming costs, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda and food security policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.

Farmers received various farm implements, including 10 tractors, 250 haulage tricycles, 1,500 knapsack sprayers, 8,000 bags of fertilizers, and cash grants of N100,000 each. Adeola praised the federal government's agricultural initiatives, including the N100 billion National Agriculture Development Fund and a budget of N12 billion for a new Ministry of Livestock.

He noted significant improvements in inflation rates and food prices, attributing these changes to economic reforms. Adeola also commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for contributing N700 million in inputs and other support for farmers in Ogun State.
