Yinka Quadri Mourns Taiwo Hassan's Burial in Ilaro

On Monday, veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri was visibly emotional as he attended the burial of his longtime colleague, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, in Ilaro, Ogun State. Quadri was among numerous actors, filmmakers, family members, and sympathizers present to pay their respects.

Ogogo, who died at approximately 3 pm on Sunday at the age of 66, had been suffering from stage-four cancer. His death was announced by fellow actor Jide Kosoko on Instagram.

Prior to his passing, Ogogo's daughters, Kaira and Lima Taiwo, had publicly appealed for assistance in securing medical treatment for their father, as his condition had worsened to the point where doctors could no longer administer chemotherapy. The funeral arrangements included a lying-in-state ceremony before his burial, drawing many of his colleagues and friends to Ilaro to honor the late Yoruba film star.
