Yinka Quadri Remembers Ogogo's Last Words Before Death

Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri revealed the final words of his long-term friend and colleague, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, before his death. Quadri visited Ogogo in the hospital shortly before he passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after battling stage-four cancer.

During the visit, Ogogo told Quadri, “Yinka, don’t cry. Nothing bad will happen to me,” to which Quadri responded, “Yes, Amen.” In a heartfelt tribute on social media, Quadri expressed his sorrow and gratitude for Ogogo’s life, noting that he was thankful Ogogo did not endure a prolonged struggle that would have burdened his family financially.

Quadri reflected on their friendship, which began in 1984, and lamented that Ogogo’s death has left an irreplaceable void in his life. Ogogo was buried in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday, August 24, in accordance with Islamic rites.
