Yoruba Elders Warn of Fulani Threat to South-West Nigeria

The Yoruba Council of Elders issued a statement on Saturday, led by Chairman Victor Taiwo, warning of a conspiracy by the Fulani to conquer South-West Nigeria. The council expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence, including invasions and murders, and called for influential Yoruba sons and daughters to join a mission to restore peace in Yorubaland.

Among those urged to participate are prominent figures such as Mike Adenuga, Bayo Ogunlesi, Femi Otedola, and several religious leaders including Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Bishop David Oyedepo. The council lamented the precarious situation in Yorubaland, which extends into the Republic of Benin, and emphasized the need for unity among Yoruba people to safeguard their land against perceived threats.
