Uba Sani Praised for Fulfilling Promises to Victims' Families

Governor Uba Sani has received commendations from both Islamic and Christian clerics for his commitment to keeping promises made since taking office. Most Rev(Dr) Timothy Yahaya, the Archbishop of Kaduna Province, and Sheikh Haliru Maraya, Northern Coordinator of the Global Peace Foundation, praised the governor for purchasing houses for Mrs. Sarah Achi and Malam Usman Aliyu, who lost their spouses to violence.

Ven Edwin Achi, husband of Mrs. Achi, was abducted and killed, while Malama Ummulkhairi Aliyu was murdered by a mob in Maraban Jos last June. Governor Sani visited the families, promising to buy houses and support the education of Ummulkhairi’s four children.

The title documents for the houses were handed over at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House last Monday. Sheikh Maraya noted that the governor also made a monetary donation of N10 million to the family of Ummulkhairi and pledged to find suitable schooling for the children.

Both clerics expressed gratitude for the governor's actions, emphasizing the importance of leaders fulfilling their promises.
