Governor Uba Sani Pledges Support After Mob Killing

On Saturday, Governor Uba Sani visited the family of Ummulkhairi Usman Aliyu, who was tragically killed by a mob in Maraban Jo, Kaduna. During the visit, he expressed his condolences to Aliyu's husband and family members, assuring them that the government would take responsibility for the education and welfare of the children left behind.

Governor Sani made it clear that justice would be pursued for the heinous act, stating that the authorities would identify and apprehend those responsible. He confirmed that 41 suspects have been charged with culpable homicide, while 30 face charges of unlawful assembly.

Seventeen suspects were released after investigations found them not culpable, and the security agencies are continuing efforts to apprehend additional suspects. The governor emphasized that any police personnel found to be complicit in the incident would face prosecution, and he pledged that a comprehensive investigation is underway.
