Lawal Garba Inspires ABU Students on Success Principles

Lawal Garba, the Chairman/CEO of Trobell International Nigeria Ltd, returned to his alma mater, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, Nigeria, to speak at the second edition of the “Lunch with the Vice-Chancellor” program. During his keynote lecture titled “The Lawal Garba Way: Building Enterprises, Creating Opportunities, Transforming Lives,” he shared insights on achieving success through integrity, excellence, continuous learning, relationships, and resilience.

Garba, a distinguished Quantity Surveyor, recounted his journey from a graduate to a successful entrepreneur, emphasizing that his achievements were rooted in persistence and hard work rather than privilege. He highlighted the importance of credibility over size in business, recalling how Trobell Nigeria Ltd built its reputation through competence and trust.

Garba urged students to embrace continuous learning and maintain relationships, stating that failure is part of the journey to success. He also pointed out Nigeria's potential in various sectors, including agriculture and technology, encouraging students to pursue marketable skills.
