PDP Rejects Sule Lamido's Call for NWC Dissolution Amid Internal Crisis

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido's call for the dissolution of the newly elected National Working Committee (NWC). Lamido had given a 10-day ultimatum to resolve internal crises within the party.

PDP's Public Secretary, Ememobong, stated that Lamido's proposal contradicts the party's constitution and ongoing court cases. Ememobong emphasized the need to rely on internal conflict resolution mechanisms rather than creating a caretaker committee.

Lamido had suggested international engagement to settle party disputes. The party's leadership, including governors and NWC members, are working to unify aggrieved members nationwide.
