YPP Expels Anambra Lawmaker for Supporting APGA's Soludo in Governorship Race

The Young Progress Party (YPP) expelled Anambra lawmaker Uzokw for openly supporting APGA's Soludo in the governorship election, violating party rules. The decision was made by the YPP's National Working Committee following a viral video of Uzokw declaring support for APGA.

The YPP accused Uzokw of gross indiscipline and attempting to mislead the public. The party remains committed to internal reforms and fielding a candidate against Soludo in the election.

The YPP has faced internal divisions since the death of its leader, Ifeanyi Ubah, in 2024.
