Zamfara Chief of Staff Moukhtar Lugga Survives Attack

Moukhtar Lugga, the Chief of Staff to the Zamfara State Governor, narrowly escaped death during a gunmen attack on Thursday evening. The incident took place around 6:16 PM near Kucheri while Lugga was traveling along the Funtua-Gusau road.

Armed assailants ambushed his vehicle, opening fire in a coordinated assault. Fortunately, neither Lugga nor his driver was hit by the bullets.

The driver managed to steer the vehicle away from the scene, escaping unhurt despite bullet holes later being found in the front windscreen. Local radio stations in Zamfara State reported on the attack, but as of the time of this report, security agencies had not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
