NAFDAC, led by Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, removed 7,210 fake and substandard products during surveillance from May to July 2026. The agency inspected 6,233 facilities nationwide, focusing on food, drugs, and cosmetics, amid rising public concerns over counterfeit products.

NAFDAC has destroyed over N1.5 trillion worth of fake products in a coordinated operation across Lagos and the South-East from February to March 2025. The agency's Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, emphasized a zero-tolerance policy against counterfeiters.
