10th Chief Nkwoji Memorial Golf Tournament Kicks Off Today

The 10th Chief Nkwoji Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled to commence today, June 20, 2026, at Aba Sport Club 1926 in Aba, Abia State. The tournament will feature 200 amateur golfers from across the country, with participants having handicaps ranging from 29 to 36.

The event is organized by the golf section of the club under the leadership of the new captain, Sir Bona Anyadiaso, in collaboration with the family of the late Chief Mike Nkwoji, a noted philanthropist and humanist. The tournament aims to honor his legacy and promote golf development in Aba.

Activities will start at 7 AM and culminate with a symbolic hole 19 event scheduled for 3 PM, where winners will be awarded trophies. The tournament, which has been ongoing for ten years, continues to enhance the legacy of Chief Nkwoji, with sponsorships and donations supporting the event, including a motorized tractor for food vendors and annual sponsorships to ensure its success.
