Pentagon Reports 140 Troops Wounded in Iran Conflict

On Tuesday, the Pentagon announced that 140 U.S. servicemembers were wounded during Operation Epic Fury, which has been ongoing for ten days amid escalating conflict with Iran. Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell provided updates indicating that the injuries included eight troops with life-threatening conditions who received the highest level of medical care.

The operation has resulted in the deaths of seven U.S. troops since its commencement. Of the wounded, the vast majority sustained minor injuries, with 108 servicemembers already having returned to duty.

The operation has seen thousands of American and Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian leadership and its nuclear program. President Donald Trump has stated that the assault will continue until Iran surrenders unconditionally.

Despite the ongoing conflict, U.S. officials have suggested that the American victory narrative does not involve ground troops in Iran, although tensions remain high as Iran's Revolutionary Guard threatens oil shipments in the Gulf.
