Team Nigeria's Women’s 4x400m Relay Team Reaches Final

At the 2026 World U-20 Athletics Championships in Oregon, Team Nigeria's women’s 4x400m relay team secured a place in the final after finishing third in their heat with a time of 3:35.28. The quartet, consisting of Becky Ebiayadi, Jecinta Lawrence, Tejiri Praise Ugoh, and Faith Ezechukwu, achieved a season's best performance, showcasing their strong capabilities on the championship stage.

Italy won the heat with a new World U-20 Record of 3:33.63, while Great Britain followed in second place with a time of 3:33.82. The qualification format allowed the top three teams in each heat to advance, and Nigeria finished ahead of South Africa and other competitors to claim the third automatic qualification spot.
