ADC Unveils 2027 Campaign Strategy Ahead of Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has detailed its plans for the first 72 hours of its 2027 presidential campaign, which is scheduled to commence on August 19, as per the timetable from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The ADC Vanguard announced that the campaign will start with a nationwide policy address by its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who will present economic policies, security reforms, and governance priorities.

Following this, a national youth town hall will allow young Nigerians to engage with the presidential ticket on pressing issues such as employment, education, technology, migration, housing, and the rising cost of living. The ADC aims to ensure that the concerns raised will shape its campaign agenda.

Additionally, vice presidential candidate Rotimi Amaechi will convene a summit with the party’s candidates to align state-level strategies with national objectives. The campaign's initial phase will focus on grassroots mobilization rather than rallies, contrasting with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which the ADC claims relies on incumbency advantages.
