Alex Adingi Announces Bid for Buruku Federal Seat

Alex Adingi, a former aide to the Benue State governor, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Buruku federal constituency seat. During a press briefing at the NUJ House in Makurdi, he highlighted that Buruku local government has lagged in development and pledged to implement changes.

Adingi outlined plans to boost the constituency's economy through large-scale cultivation of hybrid palm trees, positioning Buruku as a leader in palm oil production in Nigeria. He revealed ongoing discussions with Chinese partners to equip schools in Buruku's four wards with modern laboratories and establish scholarship opportunities for students pursuing further education in China.

Currently, 5,000 youths are being trained in digital skills to empower them and reduce social challenges. Adingi emphasized that his ambition is not driven by personal luxury but by a desire to build a lasting legacy and develop the community.

He noted that his tenure as an advisor to the governor helped attract foreign investors and contributed to the first-ever Benue International Investment Summit.
