Okpoga Demands House Seat for 2027 Elections

During a town hall meeting convened by the Okpoga Movement, Okpoga formally demanded the House of Representatives seat for the Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo federal constituency in the 2027 elections. The demand is rooted in a history of political exclusion spanning decades, as highlighted in a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting.

Stakeholders emphasized the need for equity and justice, noting that despite the administrative headquarters being located in Okpoga, the community has not produced a representative in the Green Chamber. The meeting saw participation from various political actors and aspirants, including Richard Ejoha, Anthoni Agom, John Mari Idoko, Ralph Otobo, Odoh Okoriko, and Abah, who all supported Okpoga's candidacy.

The communiqué called for unity among the community members to rally support for Okpoga's candidacy and emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization ahead of the party primaries.
