APC Campaign Council List Valid, Adjustments Expected

The Presidency announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list for the 2027 election has not been withdrawn, although adjustments will be made. Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communication, clarified this during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

The council's composition has faced controversy, particularly regarding the inclusion and exclusion of certain party leaders. Dare emphasized that the list remains valid as the campaign structure is incomplete, with several subcommittees yet to be formed.

He stated, “So that list has not been withdrawn. The APC has issued a statement to that effect yesterday, that list stands.” President Tinubu serves as chairman, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as vice chairmen.

Abdul’aziz Yari is the Director-General, and Hope Uzodimma is the secretary. Dare clarified that the expected changes are adjustments, not a wholesale review of the council.
