APC Chieftain Advocates Healthy Political Competition

Hycenth Ngwu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the former Public Secretary for the party in the South East, urged for fair competition among political parties to strengthen democracy in Nigeria as the nation enters the election season for the 2027 general elections. In an Easter message issued to newsmen in Enugu, Ngwu highlighted that democracy should serve to protect human rights and ensure justice, advocating for a political environment free from intimidation.

He called on Nigerian men, women, and youth to rise and uphold democratic principles, celebrating the Easter season as a reminder of hope and sacrifice. Additionally, Patrick Ahanor, a former Edo State Commissioner for Communication, and Chris Osa Nehikhar echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the need for faith, love, and unity among the people during this reflective season.
