APC Denies Withdrawal of Tinubu Campaign Council List

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted claims that it withdrew the list of members for its 2027 presidential campaign council for review. Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, characterized the reports as mere rumors, asserting that any changes would be officially communicated.

The campaign council was unveiled on Saturday, with President Bola Tinubu as chairman, Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as vice-chairmen, and Abdulaziz Yari, the former Governor of Zamfara State, as Director-General. Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State, serves as secretary.

The council's composition has faced scrutiny, particularly regarding the inclusion of public officials and individuals with corruption allegations. Notable members include Betta Edu, Ngozi Olejeme, Zacch Adedeji, and Tanimu Yakubu.

Morka indicated he was not the right person to address complaints about omitted names. Criticism has also emerged from opposition figures, including Rabiu Kwankwaso and Dino Melaye, regarding the appointments.
