APC's Farouk Aliyu Addresses Aspirants' Grievances Ahead of 2027

Farouk Aliyu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), spoke on a television morning show on Monday, acknowledging the disappointment among aspirants regarding the party's primary selection process for the upcoming 2027 elections. He emphasized that the APC has mechanisms in place to appease those whose aspirations may be affected.

Aliyu urged aggrieved members to remain loyal to the party and suggested that primary leaders engage in dialogue to address the concerns of dissatisfied aspirants. He mentioned the possibility of appointing individuals to the party and adopting a consensus arrangement, as well as conducting direct primaries in areas where consensus cannot be reached.
