Atiku Abubakar Leads 2027 Election Poll by Anti-Tinubu Group

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has been identified as the most preferred choice in an online poll regarding the 2027 presidential election. The poll, organized by the Tinubu Must Go (TMG) movement, was conducted over a 24-hour period from September 24 to 25 and garnered 109,799 respondents.
Of these, 80,809 respondents, or 73.6%, voted for the Atiku/Amaechi ticket, while 24,519 respondents, representing 22.3%, supported the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso. The remaining 4,471 respondents, or 4.1%, voted for other candidates.
Initial results showed that approximately seven minutes after voting began, 76.6% supported the Atiku/Amaechi ticket. The TMG movement, led by Abba Hikima, has gained traction for its opposition to the Tinubu administration due to economic hardships.
A detailed report on the poll's methodology and participation will be published later.
