Atiku Abubakar Promises Responsive Leadership for 2027

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council has assured Nigerians that its presidential candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, will provide a physically present and responsive presidency if elected in the 2027 presidential election. Kola Ologbondiyan, the Director of Media and Publicity for the ADC, stated this assurance on Monday in Abuja while receiving the Atiku Unity Movement delegation led by Francis Eburuwe.

Ologbondiyan highlighted Atiku's understanding of Nigeria's economic and social challenges, citing his previous advocacy for a phased withdrawal of fuel subsidy during the 2023 campaign. He emphasized the need for a president who is accessible and capable of making timely decisions.

Atiku's governance approach aims to tackle economic difficulties and improve citizens' welfare. His recent proposals include a production-based intervention for petroleum products, which has faced criticism from the All Progressives Congress regarding its legal and operational framework.

Eburuwe expressed the movement's commitment to mobilizing support for Atiku's candidacy and addressing national challenges.
