Ahmad Challenges Kwankwaso on APC Campaign Council Views

Bashir Ahmad, the National Director of Media Monitoring and Rapid Response for the City Boys Movement, responded to Rabi’u Kwankwaso, the vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, regarding his criticism of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council. Ahmad stated that while it is important to scrutinize government actions, reducing the 2027 election to a simplistic dichotomy of oppressors versus the oppressed does not foster meaningful national debate.

He emphasized that the APC campaign council should be evaluated based on its policies, programs, and vision for Nigeria, rather than the political identities of its members. Ahmad expressed confidence in Abdul’aziz Yari, the former governor of Zamfara State, who was appointed to lead the council, asserting that Yari's experience should be viewed as an asset.

He concluded that the election should center on performance and ideas, allowing Nigerians to make informed choices.
