Keyamo Claims Kwankwaso's Allies Defecting to APC

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, announced that political allies of Rabiu Kwankwaso, the vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), are leaving him to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in anticipation of the 2027 presidential election. Keyamo's comments followed a welcoming event led by Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the APC, in Kano State, where several politicians, including Sen. Rufa’i Sani Hanga, Sen. Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, and Sen. Mas’ud Eljibrin Doguwa, along with their supporters, defected to the APC.

Keyamo expressed on his 𝕏 handle that the people of Kano will abandon Kwankwaso and align with the APC, stating, “These are all the henchmen of Kwankwaso leaving him in droves every day to the APC.” He also mentioned that the honest citizens of Kano would disregard these leaders and follow a singular figure, expressing eagerness for January 16th, 2027.
