Nwaebonyi Dismisses APGA's Ojimba Ahead of 2027 Elections

Senator Peter Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District, publicly dismissed the political challenge posed by Chikaodiri Ojimba, the candidate from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), ahead of the 2027 senatorial elections. Nwaebonyi characterized Ojimba, a businessman, as lacking the necessary political experience to effectively contest for the Senate, stating that selling chips does not qualify one for public office.

He emphasized his own record of achievements, including the construction of 400 kilometers of federal roads linking Cross River, Ebonyi, Benue, Nasarawa, and Abuja, and the completion of a 10-kilometer concrete road within his constituency. Additionally, he noted that 500 students currently benefit from a scholarship program and that 10,000 farmers have received support through agricultural intervention schemes.

Nwaebonyi asserted that public service requires sacrifice and should not be viewed as a means to accumulate wealth, contrasting his intellectual background with that of Ojimba.
