Court Orders INEC to Use New NDC Logo for 2027 Elections

On a recent Wednesday, the Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice J. O.

Abdulmalik, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to upload and utilize the modified digital logo of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the upcoming 2027 elections. The NDC, led by National Leader Seriake Dickson, had previously submitted the modified logo to INEC, which was initially accepted and uploaded.

However, INEC later removed the logo without providing any reasons and insisted on using the old logo. After INEC failed to rectify the situation despite being given sufficient time, the NDC sought legal recourse.

Following the court's ruling, Dickson expressed gratitude for the judiciary's intervention and urged all party members and candidates to adopt the new logo in all campaign materials. He reassured members that there was no cause for panic regarding the party's position in the elections.
