Defence Minister Musa Joins APC Campaign Council for 2027

Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), the Minister of Defence, has accepted an appointment as Secretary I of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 elections. The announcement was made via a statement from his Special Adviser on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, on Monday.

Musa expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and the APC leadership for the opportunity, describing the role as a call to higher service. He assured the party leadership, stakeholders, and supporters of his dedication to fulfilling his responsibilities diligently.

Despite this new role, Musa reaffirmed that his primary duty remains the safeguarding of Nigeria’s territorial integrity and the protection of citizens' lives and property. He committed to continuing ongoing operations, strategic reforms, and inter-agency collaborations within the defence sector with increased vigor.

Musa also urged party members and Nigerians to unite behind the administration, expressing confidence in the party's success in upcoming elections while maintaining governance and security across the country.
