Defence Minister Pledges Commitment to APC Campaign

The Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd) OFR, expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for his appointment as Secretary I on the APC Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election. In accepting the role, General Musa described the trust placed in him as a call to higher service and assured stakeholders of his commitment to executing the strategic tasks of the office with diligence and focus to ensure party victory.

He emphasized that while supporting the party’s electoral agenda, his primary constitutional duty of safeguarding Nigeria's territorial integrity and protecting citizens' lives and property remains paramount. He stated, “National security remains our highest imperative,” and assured that ongoing operations and reforms in the defence sector will continue with increased vigour.

He called for unity among party members and citizens, expressing confidence in the APC's success at the polls while delivering robust governance and security.
