Defence Minister Musa Joins Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Team

Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa, a retired General and the current Minister of Defence, has been appointed as Secretary I of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 elections. In a statement released on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, Musa expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and the APC leadership for their confidence in him.

He described the appointment as a call to higher service and assured the party leadership and supporters of his dedication to fulfilling his responsibilities diligently. Despite this new role, Musa emphasized that his primary mandate remains the safeguarding of Nigeria’s territorial integrity and the protection of citizens' lives and property.

He stated that national security is the highest imperative and that ongoing operations, strategic reforms, and inter-agency collaborations within the defence sector will continue with increased vigor. Musa called for unity among party members and Nigerians, expressing confidence in the party's success in the upcoming elections.
