Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has denied reports of him defecting from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition ahead of the 2027 elections. Mustapha clarified his loyalty to the APC and urged Nigerians to disregard the fake news.

He emphasized his commitment to the APC and stated that any internal disagreements should be addressed within the party rather than defecting. Mustapha, who served as SGF from 2017 to 2023 under the late President Muhammadu Buhari, highlighted the achievements of the Buhari administration in laying a structural foundation for national development.

He also praised the leadership of Buhari and current President Bola Tinubu in driving the country's progress.
