G100 Calls for Unity Among Nigerian Opposition Parties

The G100, represented by Salihu Moh. Lukman, issued an appeal on August 30, 2026, urging leaders and members of Nigeria's opposition parties, including the ADC, NDC, PDP, and Labour Party, to prioritize unity at their upcoming summit scheduled for August 31, 2026, at the Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Centre in Abuja.

The statement highlighted that historical evidence shows that divided opposition parties inadvertently benefit the ruling party. The G100 emphasized that cooperation among parties does not require them to relinquish their identities or ambitions.

The group called for a commitment to good faith discussions, prioritizing Nigeria's broader interests over individual party goals. The G100 acknowledged that while disagreements and competing ambitions are natural, they should not hinder the collective goal of providing Nigerians with a credible electoral alternative.

The summit is framed as the start of a longer effort to unite opposition forces for the upcoming elections.
